Who you are Within the SCA:In the SCA, I am Lord Eirik Andersen, of the Canton of Ardchreag, in the Barony of Septentria, in the Kingdom of Ealdormere. I've been a part of the SCA since January 1993 (I started when I was in the 9th Grade of High School). School did not provide a sufficient resource to my interests, and as such I have many varied interests in the Middle Ages.
Areas of Interest: I am interested in armoured combat, Medieval games, heraldry, norse (and other) mythology, cartography, and too many others to list.

Other Information:

Eirik Andersen is the persona I chose to portray in the SCA. It is who I would be if I had lived in the Middle Ages. I lived in 8th and 9th century, and I was born in Sweden, but moved around a great deal as I was a captain of a Norse trading ship that traded around Europe, and even made it's way to Constanople.

In the SCA, I am Lord Eirik Andersen, of the Canton of Ardchreag, in the Barony of Septentria, in the Kingdom of Ealdormere. I've been a part of the SCA since January 1993 (I started when I was in the 9th Grade of High School). School did not provide a sufficient resource to my interests, and as such I have many varied interests in the Middle Ages.

I have earned a few awards in my 8 some years in the SCA.

The first I was given was a Award of Arms, more commonly abbreviated to AOA. It was given to me by Prince Mordain and Princess Aelflaeda back in the early spring months of 1995.

At Pennsic War 28 (1999) I was given a baronial award from Thegn Cynred and Baroness Gaerwen called the Bears Heart.And then at the beginning of this year (2001) I was hit with a double whammy.

At Septentrian 12th Night in Caer Draeth, I was given the Horn of Wessex. by Their Excellencies Cynred and Gaerwen. This pretty much blew me away. Too cool for words.Then two weeks later I was called into court by Their Royal Majesties Berus and Marion and I was award the Maidens Heart. It's a good thing I hadn't fallen asleep durring court (I had worked a shift the night before the event, and was exhausted) or I could have gotten myself into a lot of trouble! Apparently, somebody likes me.

All of these awards were given to me for service to the Cantons of Ardchreag/Skelgergate/Greenhithe, The Barony of Septentria and the Kingdom of Ealdormere.

Currently, I hold a few SCA offices. I am the Chatelaine in Ardchreag, that job being I talk to the new people, find out what interests them in the SCA and help them however I can to find a place in them, help them fit in, etc. I've also recently taken on the position of Dept. Seneschal for Ardchreag. So, over the next few months, I will gradually be given more responsibility running canton meetings etc. and the plan is that I take over as Seneschal at Ealdormere War Practice #3

As well, I've taken over running 3 webpages. Firstly, the Barony of Septentria web page, which I am helping out Tempus with. Secondly, I am running the House Red Herring website. Thirdly, I just rebuilt the Canton of Ardchreag website. This is making for a real learning experience when it comes to constructing webpages!
