The Ardchreag Announcements List

The first Ardchreag list is an announcements and inquiries list. It allows us to send out e-mail to all members of the list letting people know if things have changed, if things will change, etc. It is NOT a discussion list like many e-lists out there. It is that way for 2 main reasons

It keeps the list traffic low, so as to not be a nuisance to those subscribed to it. The less garbage that goes over the list, the more likely people will stay on. The more people who are on the list, the more effective the list is. There are currently over 60 members on this list.

If you need to discuss something, you can either do so by e-mailing a person privately, or you can post to the Ardchreag List stating that you wish to discuss this at the upcoming meeting. The Great Bonfire of Ardchreag list is also a option (for more, read below)

Nearly all of the members of Ardchreag are on the Ardchreag list, hosted by www.egroups.com.

The Great Bonfire of Ardchreag List

First off, this list is very informal. It is as the name states, much like a bonfire where people talk openly. That is not to say that things of importance are not discussed here, it's just that it is done so without let or hindrance. Some days, this list is very quiet. Others, there are 20 or more messages. It all depends on what is going on and who's around. Occasionally a joke or two will pass over the list but generally not large files.

So, if your looking for a way to stay in contact with a bit more of a personal edge, this is the list for you. Generally, anything posted to the Ardchreag Announcements list is cross posted to the Great Bonfire Ardchreag list.
